Industrial Training for the period 12.12.2011 to 25.06.2012
This is for your kind information that Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar in collaboration
with Confederation of Indian Industries, Punjab (CII Punjab) is inducting students for
Industrial Training done by B.Tech. final year students. Under this program, students will
have to undergo Training for the period of 12.12.2011 to 25.06.2012.
Online registration for students shall be open from 19-09-2011 to 05- 10-2011 at PTU website
www.ptu.ac.in (Industrial Training link).

PTU-CII INDUSTRIAL TRAINING INITIATIVE
for B.Tech. Final Year Students
Eligibility Conditions:
1. Preference will be given to students as per following:
a) No re-appear pending up to 5 th semester at the time of registration.
b) One re-appear pending up to 5 th semester at the time of registration.
c) Two re-appears pending up to 5 th semester at the time of registration.
2. Shortlisting of candidates shall be done on the basis of Academic perform ce during B.Tech. up to 5th
semester only.
3. Students should be ready to work live on the shop floor and learn the skills i•r six months
4. Students shall be working 8 hours a day in 3 shifts and 6 days a week for all 23 weeks
5. Students should be regular, punctual and should maintain the discipline t the working place for the
entire period of training
6. Students shall make their own arrangements for accommodation in local ho els or PG rooms
Benefits of Training:
1. Students would be given a stipend in the range Rs 3000-4000 dependi upon the capability of the
candidate
2. Students will get an opportunity to work live on the shop floor and learn th practical skills
3. Such on the job training will help the students to get good placements
